Legendary country songwriters Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz wrote 'When You Say Nothing At All' and originally thought it was "OK, but nothing special." The Alison Krauss version of the song was released seven years after it had first been a number 1 country hit. While the songwriters of 'When You Say Nothing at All' thought the song was just average, the late Keith Whitley immediately knew that it was a hit and insisted on recording it. |

In 2002 the Dixie Chicks remade this iconic 1975 hit. Their version reached number 2 on the country charts, and was also a Top 10 hit on the pop charts. 'Landslide' appears on the Dixie Chicks album 'Home.' 'Landslide' was written by Stevie Nicks and is one of the best-known of Fleetwood Mac's songs. It initially appeared on the 1975 album 'Fleetwood Mac,' and a live version of the song reached the Top 10 in the late 90s. Nicks performed 'Landslide' with the Dixie Chicks during VH1 Divas: Las Vegas in 2002. |
